HOW AM I INVESTING NOW?
1. I have a couple of new favorite books, including “The Gap and Gain” and “The 12 week Year.” Check them out!
2. Investing in my physical health. This one needs lots of work! I manage to swim laps at the YMCA on occasion but prefer the loud music and friends support cycle class.
3. Investing in my children’s education. Thanks, Forsyth County Day School!
4. Investing in relationships. Whether they are personal or professional, relationships are invaluable.
5. My rental properties are always a work in progress. Is it time to invest in a new kitchen, or waterproof the basement? Waterproofing the basement is going to win….
6. The stock market – I quit throwing darts at the board a long time ago, but I appreciate the support and advice from Salem Investment Counselors.
7. My home. Buena Vista has become my happy place, but it will never replace Salem Glen. I love the charm and the location of my older home! The transformation from house to home is always a work in progress, but mixed titles, seasonal decor, and fresh flowers always help! Nothing beats a trip to the Piedmont Triad or Cobblestone Farmer’s Market. Of course, weekends aren’t complete without a trip to Shannon Lee furniture in HP/Kernersville or Meg Brown Home Furnishings in Advance!
8. Charitable giving is always an investment in our community and our people! Investing and supporting Wake Forest and the United Way are favorites of mine!
9. Supporting businesses that have invested in our community! Can’t wait to try Sage and Salt Bistro!
Thank you to the grandparents who are investing precious time with their families! I’d also like to thank the developers at CP3 basketball academy and Fusion (among others) for investing time in helping our kids pursue their athletic interests.
Cheers to fall, festivals, and football. Go Deacs!
